I agree with you Sturm78: 28 cm kurze Bruno Kanone (E). And the only battery I could find operating this gun in Russia was the E.695.

Hi all,

Can somebody id. this railroad gun? I think captured equipment. Probably of Russian origin. The barrel is missed

It looks like the carriage of the French railway gun "240 mm TAZ Mle 1893/96 Colonies". :idea:

Not the French , it is is one of the Russian
TM - 2 - 12
TM - 3 - 12
TM - 1 - 14
Difficult to say from the blurred photo with
out the gun barrel

looks like 6"/45 Canet, probably Latvian or Estonian.

Hello Jos,

Camo style looks similar… As far as I know, 4 Canet guns were converted to railway mountings in Latvia in 1937, but I had never seen photos of all four — so it may be the same gun, but I wouldn't bet :wink:

It is a 28 cm kurze Bruno K (E). There is a whole series of pictures of this gun which carried the registration number
919068. You can see two other pictures of the same series in Guy François's book "Eisenbahnartillerie".
