Thanks. The second set is very interesting. I’m not sure to what extent this gun was used by the Germans?

Figured out that the first gun is Dicker Max, which was recaptured in 1940 but I understand never used by the Germans?

With regards to the second lot, does anyone know what German units, if any, had these guns in 1944/45 on the western front? I understand there was a unit with these or similar guns in northern Italy during the same time period but I am assuming these were not pulled back so far north as to be in the sector of the US 2nd armoured division, a member of whom took these photos, in France / northern Germany.

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Nezar

Hi,
I do not know the German unit, but on 10 April 45, the XIX US Corps reported Railroad Guns observed in vicinity rC8590, one of them knocked out by air. The entire train that contained the railroad guns was later destroyed by fire. Maybe the guns from the pics?
Regards

They look like spare tubes from old naval guns, possibly French.
