Sturm78,

The right gun is indeed a 270 mm Mle 1917 with its typical bolts near the trunnion. However, the other one ("Marie-Louise") is (I think) a 305 mm Mle 1893-96: note its "stepped" barrel and the number of axles per boggies (6 for the 305 mm gun, 5 for the 270 mm gun).

The gun is definitely Russian 130mm L/55 M1913, uniforms of the crew also looks Russian WWI-style (or from the Civil War). The text on the side of the platform is (in modern orthography):
«Ревельский судостроительный завод Русско-Балтийского судостроительного и механического акц. о-ва»,
which means
“Reval shipbuilding plant of Russo-Baltic shipbuilding and machinery stock co.”.

Hence it can be Estonian :)

Hi all,

I found this image on Ebay. According to photocaption the image was taken in Sevastopol in 1942.
The gun is a 28cm kz Bruno K (E) ex-german ex-belgian gun from WW1, recaptured by germans in 1940.

According to my information two or three of these guns were captured 1940 and used by E.721 Batterie in France, not in Russia. :?

I suppose thtat the photocaption is wrong

Hi Sturm78,

According to Général Guy François in his book « Eisenbahnartillerie », the Belgian Army had 5 of these ex-WW1 German guns in 1940. Only two of these « Beute » guns were reused by the Germans and armed Battery E.721 that operated in France only. So, as you’ve stated the ebay caption is wrong.

The gun reminds me of a 130 mm Pattern 1913.

I'd say the gun is 130mm M1913 :D
The photos were taken near Nömme in Estonia, in autumn 1941.

Looks to me a close up of the 28 cm Schwere Bruno K (E) in Norway ( E 689 ) from Ebay .

Hi Jos,

I agree with you: 28 cm "schwere Bruno" and thus, E689. But it's difficult to tell if the picture has been taken in France or Norway.
