Hi Jos,

I remember to have seen a German map with the telephone cable network (not the leitunskize from Kampfanweisung für dir Festung Le Havre) : on this map, the SKSS is located in Ste Adresse, place Frédéric Sauvage. I don't remenber the date of this map, and I have no copy of it.

Regards,

Sébastien

Dear Jos,

I really don't know what kind of bunker the SKKS used. A bunker build on the Plave Frédéric Sauvage was fastly destroied after the war.

After the question of Jos, I studied air photos of the area of place F. Sauvage, where the HQ of SKSS should had been build. I discover building activity on a january 1943 photo : there is a shape which could be a 117 ; on august 1944 photo, the same area is "green", I suposed under camouflage netting ; on a 1946 photo, it is possible partially the shape I saw on the january 1943 photo. And to day, the place is a private area without any building. I look also on prewar postcard, and the area seems to have no house or villa before the war too. And on an actual air photo, taken in summer, it is possible to see a yellow colored area at this place : it 's mean that remains of structure are here under the grass.

Dear Sébastien,

In the erea of the Admiral Atlantikküste the Seekommandante were most often located in a M152, see for example Royan, St.Nazaire, Channel Islands. Also in Denmark the two Seekdte. were located in a M.152. In the erea of the Adm. Kanalküste most ofter SKs were built.

Can your shape be a M152?
Any clue where the M.N.O. was located? Probably also somewhere on the cliffs.

Peter

Hello

In Holland the Seeko Südholland had a Fl 241 and the
Seeko Nordholland was housed in a old Dutch fort .
The normal thing would be a M 152 also the date
of the building activity's would indicate this way .

This is the extracts of the air photos. In my mind, it was not a M152. The approximate size of the suposed bunker in the left of the picture is 25 m by 15 m.

Photo SKSS2 (top photo) is dated october 1944. You can see a bunker in the middle of place F. Sauvage.
Photo SKSS1 is dated january 1943. You can see "something" where the bunker is in the middle of place F. Sauvage. On the left of the place, you can see building activy with something very big, approximately 25 m by 15 m. This bunker - wich should ne the SKSS HQ - can't be seen on the top photo, probably under camouflage netting.

airphoto extract 1946

The last photo : the same area in 1946 : the bunker in the middle of place F. Sauvage is gone. On the left of the picture, where should had been the HQ of SKSS, you can notice particular shadow : I think it is the Nahkampfraum and the wall with entrance of the bunker, still in place in begening 1946 - wich produced this shadow. And it s corectly match with the shape in january 1943 air photo.

But in my mind, not a M152 !

Sébastien

Hi Sébastien

Nice detective work you have made , thanks for sharing
information , but as Peter stated this could also be the
M.N.O. bunker or a Fl 241 with a tobruk ??
