Re: 21 cm Skoda
Hmm... that photo has always been identified as being from HKB 2./773 Liinahamari in Petsamo (a long way from Südwall)?

Re: 21 cm Skoda
Hi Jopaerya,
Were the guns of MKB Cavallas (or Cavalas ?) batterie destroyed by his crews in retreat ??
On the other hand, here two other images from Ebay. According to photocaption, in Akrotiti, Kreta. Is this correct ?
Any aditional information about the coastal batteries with 21cm Skoda K39 guns in Greece ??

Batterie Crisbecq / Saint-Marcouf
Hello,
I read somewhere, that the MKB Crisbecq (Saint-Marcouf) was originally constructed as a Heeresküstenbatterie (3/HKAA 1261), but later converted into a Marineküstenbatterie ( /MAA 260).
It sounds strange, but on the other hand it makes some kind of sense, because the type of the guns (21 cm K 39/41) as well as the type of the casemates (Regelbau 683) were Army designs.
Anybody who has any information about this?
Lars

Re: 21 cm Skoda
Thanks Jos. So they were two different batteries, I didn’t know that.
Still strange to see a heavy MKB equipped with army material in an army Regelbau.
greetings Lars
