Hi all,

I have in my computer this other image of a Skoda 21cm K39/41 gun of Batterie MKB St. Marcouf after the battle.

Ludvig, Thanks for your information. It is basically the same information that I posted in this section on 01July. Are you sure that the Germans used the designation 21cm K43 for V3 (K52) model ?

According to Michal Prasil in "Skoda heavy guns", USSR ordered nine 21cm V3 Skoda guns in 1948. The guns were delivered in 1950 and these were the last guns manufactured by Skoda.
I have an electronic version in pdf format of AB Shirokorad of The Encyclopedia Of Russian Artillery. In this book, there is a photo and a drawing of these guns Skoda 21cm V3. It is a pity that I can not upload these images here.

According to Ludvig 15 X 21cm V3 manufactured. Are included in this figure the 9 guns manufactured for Russia in the
postwar?

Regards Sturm78.

Hello Ludvig , Sturm78 and Asbjorn

Thanks for the additionel information on the 21 cm gun , the numbers of the 15 or 12 x 21 cm K. 52 is for the
German deliberies and not from the Russian one's . Does the photo and the drawing of the 21 cm in the book
The Encyclopedia Of Russian Artillery from A.B. Shirokorad also have a muzzle brake ??

Regards Jos

P.S. you can kopy in your PDF file a page or photo with selection and then paste it in a Paint file .

Hi all,

Jopaerya, YES, the gun shown in the picture and drawing of The Encyclopedia Of Russian Artillery from A.B. Shirokorad have a muzzle break. But this PDF file in my computer is protected and I cannot "copy and paste".

I think we have learned much about these guns and I think we already know to differentiate between the various models of 21cm Skoda guns. Perhaps most difficult is to differentiate between a K39 and K39/40, which are very similar.
Will welcome any new wartime picture of this guns!!

Sturm 78,

You can always do a "print screen" and paste it on a Word or a PowerPoint document for example.

It wasn't easy to find any numbers, but I found some. On top of the cradle there is a one digit cast number, could be the serial number. Gun A = Nr. 2, gun B = Nr. 6.

I also found something on the upper carriage (picture), 6 with small 1 is a part location number. Next is Rh10A, I found the same number on a different part on the upper carriage, any ideas?
Next is the Waffenamt eagle with Wa 72 under it, according to a list I found it's from E. Winterhoff & Co., Remscheid, but I doubt that's correct.

Erik E gave me some help on the numbers and letters:
10A is Fertigungskennzeichen for "Akitengesellschaft Pilsen" (previously Skoda-werke"), later changed to "bxb".
Rh is probably Rheinmetall.

Well, here are the images of of The Encyclopedia Of Russian Artillery from A.B. Shirokorad (thanks again Manuferey :D ).
21cm Skoda V3 guns of USSR.
Does anyone know which was the German designation of this model? I think K52 was another manufacturer designation, no?

The base box of the gun appear to have a kind of arms, though different from those of 21cm K39 and K39-40, no?

Hello Sturm78

If we put the information from you ( Russian ) and Ludvig ( Czech ) together the V 3 = K 52
and the gun that was ordered by USSR the nine 21cm V3 Skoda guns in 1948 .
Yes I see what you mean with the arms , looks a little bit like the hooks used on the 21 cm M 18 and 17 cm K 18 .

Regards Jos

P.S. here a report on the Regelbau 34 with 2 x 21 cm K 52 end 1944
