"New pages for Rolfs Atlantic Wall Typology."

#1

Post by TommySoelbergDK » 26 Mar 2007, 17:48

Hi there.

I have made some "new" pages for Rolf "Atlantic Wall Typology".
Pages: 117+118, 64b+65 and 331+332. (updated 2007)

Page 64b: S.174 Ammuauffüllraum, similar to S.448a. (Hanstholm x2)
Page 65: S.468 with the 2 levels and "Schnitt". (Hanstholm x4)

Page 117: R.118, with the Westwall version.
Page 118: R.118abc, with all 3 Atlantick Wall types. (Atlantikwall)

Page 331: V.193 from Esbjerg in Denmark. No changes were made. (DK x1)
Page 332: V.194 Fernmeldeknotenpunkt from Söndervig in Denmark. (DK x1)
The drawing of V.194 in Rolfs book, was made from an incorrect sketch.

All drawings are in Pdf, so everybody should be able to print them out.
Just desable the "Fit to page", or it will be printed out smaller...

When you open them, you will see that there are 2 pages on each sheet of paper.
That meens that you have to print them out twice, so that you end up with front
and back that are the same. Give the other to an other bunkerfreak.
Ex. page 117 on one side and page 118 on the other side.

The paper should be the coated/glossy type.
Fold the pages where indicated BEFORE you cut them.
It's much easyer that way. Use a ruler...
The fold is about 6 mm wide and should be folded both ways.

When you are shure how it should be put in, you put glue on the 6 mm fold ONLY.
(Glue on the side with the text; " - FOLD - ")
Insert it and ajust it BEFORE you press hard. Close the book and let it dry.
The page should be 0,5 mm smaller then the original pages.

Let me know if there are any problems. (before you glue them!)

I have originaly made them in Pdf, but Axis does not allow pdf.
If any problems, send me a mail.

Kind regards

Tommy,

According to your plan of the V193 this type was build 2x in Denmark.
The one in Esbjerg is ofcourse well know, but where is nr. 2 located ? 8O

Thanks very much Tommy!!!!!!
I tink i can do the same with the 622, this drawing is also incorrect, and also the V142 was drawn wrong, it has only one entrance or a room could not be visited because the door was not drawn (or something like that).
And there are more flaws in the book.
Greetings Jack.

Hello Tommy

I am quite convinced, that you have drawn the walls of the tunnel entrance to the Regelbau S 468 far to thin. On the type drawing the walls are shown as 3,5 m thick - and I am quite sure you haven't checked it in the field.

As far as I know, the V 193 was only built only built in Esbjerg - and I have read the Baufortschrittsplan very thoroughly.

And "German Bunkers in Denmark" we also state the number as "1".

Best regards
Jens.

V.193 and S.468

#8

Post by TommySoelbergDK » 28 Mar 2007, 12:04

Hi
The V.193 is ONLY built in DK ones. I will make a new one.
The S.468 is hard to figure out and I have only looked at the top of it, but could not find concrete enough to state that the tunnelroof was 3,5 m thick.
I don't have acces to the same material as mr. Andersen, for that I apologies.
The drawing is right in principal, I think.
The dirt on its top, makes it difficult for me to find the correct thicknes.
I will make a corrected version next week.
This is the purpose of this forum, to have errors corrected.
Many thanks from me.
