Hey!
Thank you for your answer. That helped me.
I don`t have pictures of the bunkers and canons.
There are a lot of pictures where they are eating in the Kasino. Seemed to be more important than doing military stuff

some pictures in the attachments....

First and last one the grandfather of my girlfriend with his crew and the other one the grandfather at the beach.
His name is Oberleutnant Stahl. So the battery is named after him.

Thank you very much for sharing these pictures, duesentorben!
And a new piece of the puzzle found with the origin of the name Stahl for the battery. This was not some kind of a code name !

Wow!!! Thank you for finding out where the picture was taken!!! Next spring i will travel again to normandie and visit all the places from the pictures. I would like to show you two more pictures.
The first one from the inside of one of the bunkers. The communication room. The second one is also from a beach with a shot down airplane. Do you think that`s also Baie d'Ecalgrain?

This is really amazing. Mr. Paich knows the coast very good! Does he have all these pictures by incidence or is he going there for the pictures? 😉

Hello, Stahl is on a private property. Does anyone know whom to ask permission for a visit?
