I came across a reference of Waffen-SS soldiers fighting with the regular army somewhere in the Hague area? And of course I can't find it back...

Does it ring a bell with anybody?

We know that the 17. SS.Panzer-Gren Div. fought around Carentan, at the base of the Cherbourg peninsula in June 44. It could be that the source found by ErwinZ simply mixed up the southeastern corner and the northwestern tip of the Cherbourg peninsula or that, somehow, some soldiers of that division were separated from their division, for example after being wounded near Carentan and then sent to Cherbourg hospital, and could not rejoin their division once the Americans had cut the peninsula.

I hope we can hear more about ErwinZ's source.

The only other Waffen-SS unit I have found in the Cotentin peninsula before 1944 was a SS-Transport Kompanie Reichspost, stationed first in Picauville, then Etienville, then Beuzeville-La-Bastille, and mentioned from August 18, 1943 until November 3rd, 1943 in 84 AK records.

Manu, Erwin does not mean Cap de la Hague but The Hague in the Netherlands.
