Hello Jos,

I think it could be:

Beutelangrohrgeschütz
bei Fort Maudrijk
(Dünkirchen)

Thanks Michael and Jack

Fort Mardijk or Mardyck would fit , this would also mean
that the guns were used in the battle of Dunkirk ??

Yes, these guns figured prominently in the defense of the encircled Allies in the Dunkirk pocket, helping to hold the Germans at bay for a time.

Finelly I found visual proof that this gun was used in German service , according
to the photocaption this should be at the Leningradfront in a M.K.B. .

Great find, Jos ! :D A 15,5 cm K424(f) or 15,5 cm KM32(f) in position: maybe one of the guns intended initially for MKB Heyst !

Hi SASH155

I realy don't know , i was looking for documents and internet lots of information on the Harko 303 .
But if you try to find some information about the Marine Artillerie near Leningrad , nothing at all .

Regards Jos

P.S. my guess is four , because on the list ( page 2 ) for M.K.B. Heist there were four guns available .

I suppose then that there was probably only one HKB equipped with these guns in the Wehrmacht, after all, only eight "canon de 155 long mle. 1932 Schneider" were ever built, and since some of these guns seem to have survived the war, as evidenced by some of the posts on this site, that means that the balance of the guns must not have seen action on the Eastern Front.

Hello SACH155

According to David Lehman 16 guns were build , of this gun 8 were in Europe in 1940 and the other 8
were in Africa ( they were reused by the Free French, photo page 1 and survived the war)

From the photo's that we have collected in this thread most guns seem to be complete and were not
visually sabotaged , so four guns that were reused by the Kriegsmarine as M.K.B. look very logical to me .
The guns were very modern and had a very good range .

I will try to find more information on the guns that were used in the M.K.B. at the Leningradfront , but as
I stated before not much information is avalible on this subject . Maybe our Russian members can help us
out here ??

Hello

Here the original text of the P.K. photo
