Hello
Been loooking at the photos and seeing some from Fort de Bertaume, Brest, Point de St.Mathieu, also a photo of Hotel de Bains, situated in the earlier mentioned Trez-Hir.Used by Uboat officers on leave from Brest Also pictures from the bay of Trez-Hir/Plougonvelin. Seems like the french guys are out of office, im sure they have something to add about this.

Hello All

Maybe even our French friends don't know more , this is what I found
Maybe the M.H.P.S. Brest was dervided on more than one place ??

Br 301 = M.N.O. Brest - 17 persons
Br 304 = ......elle Le Trez-Hir - over the 200 persons
Br 311 = "Donau" 3 F.M. Abt. - 100 persons

Think Peilstelle is the word that's missing.

Cheers

Hi Simon

That would fit perfectly , here a map from that area with the red marked Br 301 and 304 , the 311 is placed
a few k.m. to the North . If we see the number of persons the Br 304 would be main complex and the "Donau"
and "Wolga" would be other radar complexes or dependances of the M.H.P.S. Brest .

There seems to be enough information around if one is interested in this matter.
Some notes from may 42 MPHS Brest have 6 Na.dienststellen, and 243 men(Kopfstärke), MNO Brest have 23 Na.dienststellen with 240 men. The 17 men on your list have to be one of these.
I dont have enough knowledge of this but i think its wrong to mix up MNO, MPHS, and the Funkmess.Abt. Just to end this from my side i could addd that in 3rd Sich.division also used Trez-Hir. A note mention ortsfeste Fungeräte at Trez-Hir "im april abgebrochen wegen umzuges der dienstelle nach Nostang". There is a red line from the MNO to the MPHS and 3rd Sich.Division as there is in Norway with similar setups.
