new W.N. Stp in KVA3

Hi Simon,

My documents are not all coming from BAMA. I recently find some new sources of informations in the Belgian Army archives that have never been searched before. Also the original German minefields documents used by the Belgian Army while clearing all the mines on the coast, often revealed some W.N. or Stp names mostly unknown from us till now.
There is a large gap to fill in the Atlantic Wall research in Belgium, and I 'm actually working hard on it and try to bring some new elements for the research and the preservation. For example, all the new ST bunkers we re-discovered this year in Stp Graf Spee (Radar Schule in De Haan) are now already protected by the Flemish Landscape & Monuments Commission and can not be destroyed anymore. Next week, a full report of my study about this site will be published in the WMF-news (PDF file freely downloadable on the website of WMF). There is a lot more to re-discover in Belgium.

Greetings

Pierrot

Hi Pierrot,

nice to see you're back from your boat.
Nice information, when are we hitting the road again?

Pierrot, Peter,

when you look on our site http://www.bunkers.be choose AOK 15 KVA 3 you'll see Poperinge, I think we found the sole remaining bunker of the Marine Stp.( If you can call it that way) situated over there.

Hello,

I fully agree, the existing map with W.N. and Stpkt. of K.V.A. 3 is a cheese with big holes.
One of the cheese's holes has just been filled up right now

Greetings

I am looking into the formation of the Regiment 19 in 1943. From which 3 Batallions were the Batallions of the Regt. 19 formed? Pre-Belgium Rgt 19 had Bat. 588, 211 and 194. In which order were they reorganized in the new format?
