Hi Erik,
my informations are from http://www.waffenhq.de :D
they say that the first gun was named Dora, while the second gun was named Gustav. Im sorry if im wrong but thats the only good site in german i know :roll:
It goes on telling that Gustav fired over 300 shells at Sevastopol
My site says that the planned Barrel Lifetime was about 100 Shoots, but in practice after 15 shots strong manifestations of wear already showed up.
And they also say the gun only fired 48 shots :?
please correct me if im wrong :D

This is a very common problem Dennis......
You never find 2 places which shares the same information!

I do not know anything more than I just posted, but since the book I quoted fits Antonio`s letter from the Krupp archive, I choose to believe the book befor the web-page......
