Hi all,

I found this small image on EBay.

This image makes me wonder which was the method of assembly of this gun.
Typically, the guns in which the barrel is transported separately, once the gun carriage is in position, the barrel trailer is coming from rear and the barrel is pushed toward the carriage.
However in this image the trailer is in front of the carriage and the barrel seems be being hoisted.... 8O :?

Strange coincident but in the empty carriage photo near the top, the elevation is negative as if to receive the barrel from the front.

Another picture of a well-camouflaged 22 cm of Batterie Strassburg on Guernsey:

Hi Jos,

This photo shows one of the 22cm K532(f)'s of Batterie Roon on Jersey, Channel Islands and was taken in 1943.

The problem is that I have no information on the Rumanian and Bulgarian coast only some
H.K.B. batteries at Greece , they did use the 22 cm there as you can see on the list .

Regards Jos
Jos i think your screenshot shows Bulgarian artillery units in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace coast. Not German, even if the text is German.

Bulgarian forces had 22cm guns in Kavalla and Alexandroupolis(Dedeagatch) each with a batterie of 4 guns. And in your screen it shows them at Nea Paranos(near Kavalla) and Nea Chile(near Alexandroupolis)

Hi all,

I am not sure but I would say that it is an 22cm K.532(f) gun.
According to photo caption, Russia. Was this gun used by Germans in Russia??

Stutm78,

It looks like the 22 cm gun was installed in a concrete open emplacement with some kind of a special camouflage pattern on the walls of the emplacement. This would suggest a coastal artillery position.
