Re: Bauformen in Norway
The picture shows a standard MAA command post for MA-batteries established before 1942 and intended for use with a stereoscopic range finder and two direction binoculars, of which the rear one (at the large type) was physical connected through the floor to the direction input on a Parallaksrechner C/30 which acted as a type of fire control equipment.
The overall design of this type of command post was made by the Engineer Staff at Admiral Norwegen, and it was laid out in two different sizes. Detailed drawing for each battery was made specific for that battery with or without any add-ons from other designs. So it was not a fixed set of drawings as with the later Regelbau-system, but a sketch defining the steel parts (which are uniform) and the layout of the basic concrete structures.
This type of command post were used at Toraas (MAA 501), Randöy, Kjaere (Beltevika), Lista (MAA 502), Egersund (Stapnes), Vigdel, Kvitsøy (with two observation directions) (MAA 503), Hagland (Haugesund), Selbjørnsfjord, Korsnes, Skjeljanger, Nesje (Sognefjord), Rugsundøy (Nordfjord) (MAA 504), Ålesund (Tueneset), Kristiansund (Karihola) (MAA 505), Løkhaug (MAA 506), Sandnessjøen, Bremnes (Bodø) (MAA 510).
The list is taken from the top of my head, so I might have lost some. The large version was used at the more important batteries which later also received the C/39 electric data transmission (selsyn) system and the smaller one at less important batteries.
Batteries constructed from 1942 on received Regelbau bunkers according to the then eststablished system.

PS. In 1944 some of these commandposts were reinforced with concrete add on protection on top of the steel structure.
