Hi Jos,
I thought that you had my Vol 2, please see page 66.
It is the Ops. Room for the Freya Verbunkert:
http://www.gyges.dk/luftwaffe_radartype ... nition.htm
2/3 down.

They can be found in:
ROBBE, Rømø, the radar was mounted.
BÜFFEL, 2 ea., the radar was not mounted.
RINGELNATTER, the radar was not mounted.
LAMA, the radar was mounted.
Hanstholm, where it served as Ops Room for the Russel, which was never completed.
HABICHT, the radar was not mounted.

and there was at least one in the Netherlands as Klaas shortly will tell us.

Hi Jos and SES,

This building can also be found in the Netherlands on Terschelling (in a seperate small position nearby the Tiger stellung at the road junction of the 'Hoofdweg' and 'Badweg Paal 8'). Very close to this building is the foundation for the Freya Verbunkert. This location was coded "L" by the BRV, but they forgot to make drawings of this building and the radarfoundation. BRV did only drawings of the trafobunker and a shelterbunker. Please see enclosed drawing (the drawing is based on rough field measurements, so it's probably not 100% acurate).

I think the Freya Verbunkert position was not completed and the radarmast was never installed at Terschelling, on an aerial photo dated april 1945 it's not visible.

The Freya Verbunkert position at Terschelling is the only one in Holland that i know of, but would not be suprised if more of these buildings were build in Holland (near Salzhering?)

Best regards, Klaas

The big barack have you seen this one?
Is it the one without the roof?

On Mont Robin (Dieppe) there is also a big barrack, but during our visit we did not enter is because the roof had collapsed.
Greetings Jack.

Hello

Here a other machinebunker from the Lufwaffe radarstation Auerhahn ,
just the same as the one above Amoebe and Tausendfüssler . A other
Trafo stand from the same model is found at Pointe du Raz ( Renntier )
