Hi All,

During my holiday in Trondheim I visited Kristiansund and there
due to an international collabortation a new bunker design was found.
A small Vf-construction for 6 soldiers: the Typ 11a Norwegen.
Please see attached plan (copyright Björn Ove Angvik)

Similar constructions can be found in Poland, sometimes with 57P8 plate in the entrance defence.

Arthur,

Very interesting ! The interior looks much the same.

Are there any documents indicating the ones in Poland as typ 11a ?
Would be nice if we have corresponding documents for other regions.

Hello Everybody,

Among the very few documents left out by the retraiting German Army in Belgium in 1944, there were some documents labelled "Massen und Materialaufstellung für Blockhaus Typ xx" We find there the blockhaus typ 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 18a, 18b, 20, 83 and also "Blockhaus für 60 cm Scheinwerferbedienung". That is about 60 pages of texts and measurements without any drawing attached.
Although I do not think there is a relation between the "Typ 11a Norwegen" and the Typ 11 on my document, I put it hereunder for comparaison. As my German is not so good, maybe someone can find any relation between those 2 Typ 11.
Any comments are welcome.

Greetings

Pierrot

Hello Nectar

Your bunker looks a lot like the Regelbau 396 , but do you have measurements of this bunker ?

Hello Jos,

Your drawning is very interesting, I didn't know that the welblech could have a regelbau number. I will try to find and to buy this book.

About the drawning of Nectar, it's one of the welblech of the former Camping Cosmos (1st emplacement of the 3./826 {HKB Westende}). The Welblech's there, have as inner dimensions 10 x 3.1 m and walls of 0.8m. This kind of welblech is very common in Belgium, especially inside the first HKB emplacement build in 1940-1941. I find back this type also in Groenendijk (1st emplacement of 1./826), Mariakerke (1st emplacement of 1./823), Duinhoek (1st emplacement of 2./826) but also in Bredene inside the Stp Bruchmüller. However the ones of Groenendijk have walls of 1m, and I don't have mesured yet the surviving ones in Mariakerke and Duinhoek.

Your Regelbauten 395 and 396 seems to have as inner dimensions 5.5 x 3.1m and 8.5 x 3.1m. The ones I talked about here above are all 10 x 3.1m.

Greetings

Hello

Did every Inspecteur der Landesbefestigung made it's own line of V.F. bunkers ??
and did they share this information with each other . Because this would mean
that there were different line's of V.F. bunkers in West , Ost , Nord and Sud ??

Hello,

I didn't have the opportunity yet to have a visit off my own and do some measuring on this Wellblechbunker;
but these are some rough measurements of the only remaining wellblechbunker at HKB Duinhoek (De Panne - Belgium) which Pierrot mentions here above. (I received these from a local ex-military G. Mahieu)
hwb Duinhoek.jpg
(see also topic: HKB Duinhoek)

it seems to be a very different model then the ones mentioned and posted earlier in this topic... I would like to have the opportunitiy to take a visit and make more accurate measurings.

... can we find this exact type elsewhere??

Has anyone found out more about the typ 11a or if it could be more sub types of the 11-series? Here is some identical examples (Vf) from Byklestigen in Aust-Agder, southern Norway. (Two Gruppenbunker(?) and one MG-bunker each with wellblech roof and about 1,10 m thick concrete.
