Jean,
The same copula in the MKB Tirpitz (Raversijde), in Januari 2013 we had "carte blanche" to visit the entire complex, with permission and thanks to José van Bael to organise this special trip. Also thanks to the gods for the marvelous day after a snowy week we had
According to the guide, this is the one which was recuperated from the ringstand type 227 in the harbour of Blankenberge.
Regards,
Tom

Hello
A close up. I suppose they put on this net to prevent animals to get trapped / caught in the bunker.

Re: Bunkers with tank turrets!
Could this photo be taken on one of training grounds in Germany?
Some emplacements look like one(!) room bunkers.
On the left there is probably Drehhaube.

Hello
See, that´s a very interesting picture
It might be that it is from a testing site as you say, but where?

Re: Bunkers with tank turrets!
Hello Kurt,
that's the question: where?
This forest in the background reminds me somehow other photo that bothers me since I've found it: it shows Jagdtiger during test drive in one of training grounds. Background looks very familiar to me... when you see closer You will notice:
No 1 PzIII turet (on test stand for shooting or as test stand as imact wall for Pak shells)
No 2 Armour plate with painted white cross-definitely for ballistic tests
No 3 Typical impact wall (Kugelfange) made of concrete.
Regards
Andrzej

Hello
Well, you can see these tree lines both at Grafenwöhr and Hillersleben. They are between the sectors and both are very wooded areas.
But - I tend to think it could be Hillersleben, but thats only my speculation.

Re: Bunkers with tank turrets!
If we assume that this turret (pz38) point directly towards enemy than the entrance should be from oposite side where we can se wooden logs supporting earth dug. What I see that this bunker is little bit too small just like like "one-room Tobruk" from my previous photo - don't You think???jopaerya wrote:From the magazine Panzer Tracts No 21-1 a picture from the same place as your last picture

I feel now that previous location could be Hillersleben that's the only known place where some many Tobruks for tank turrets were built. Second argument is that photo were made by Soviets and Hillersleben were in Eastern occupied zone in Germany.
