The picture from Topic 941 is made at Swinemunde/Świnoujście you see the typical lighthouse, maybe a part of the Marine-Artillerie-Schule I
Thank you for your information, jopaerya
Do you know if 15cm SK L55 (according to ludvig identification) = 15cm SK C28 ??

Hello Sturm78

Ludvig is allways right , on your photo this is a older gun model and has the same barrel length as the 15 cm S.K.C/28 coincidentally.

Hi jopaerya

Well, I know of Ludvig's extensive knowledge...but my question was what model of gun is the 15cm SK L55.
I don't know of any german 15cm naval gun with this length of calibers except the SK C/28.
Do you have any information? Model Mxxxx, Krupp or Rheinmetall, .......

Thanks in advance

Hello,

The 1922 to 1924 documents of "Commission Navale Interalliée de Contrôle" (CNIAC) write for Swinemünde batteries that:
-the more longer guns caliber 15 cm are the "15 cm K.16 L/43 in Kst.L C/1921".
-only one battery have guns with L/53 guns: "10,5 cm K.L/53 in Kst. L."
I have never seen photographs of a 15 cm K.16 in Kst.L or a 10,5 cm K.L/53 in Kst.L.!
Yours sincerely,
Guy François.

Hello,
Thank you for the 15 cm K.16 in Kst.L!

The photograph of the topic 948 show a very long and slim gun, too slim for a 15 cm gun?
Why not a 10,5 cm K.L/53 in Kst.L ?
Yours sincerely,
Guy François.

I think these are from Batterie Waldam before of course the bunkers for the guns were built.

Hello Nezar

That is possible, I based my conclusion on the picture with the 2.5 cm French flak from the Ebay auction, please note the house roof in red circle .
On the other photo of B.Sangatte see the houses and also the roof again, at Waldam there were no houses close to the battery .

Regards Jos

Thanks Jos. You may be right. It seems the seller’s photo grouping covered Snagatte, Waldam and Batterie Freidrich August, based on the seller’s descriptions. I know the sellers’ descriptions are not always reliable but seems some of them were very specific so may be they came from the description in the album where the photos came from or similar.

Best regards,
Nezar

Dear Sturm78,

I think it is MKB Kursaal in Oostende. You can check with photo of this forum page (viewtopic.php?t=127943) ; Look at the building in background right.

To complete my last message, this is an extract of oblic aerial photo from NARA (Sortie 9AF-IPDP-27, Exposure OBLI-168, august 4, 1945) : the bunker is circled in red, and the background building in blue : it is a tower of the Hôtel Continental (See pre war post card from Delcampe)
