RE: Sturm78 » 06 Mar 2017, 23:42: From the construction of the breech and recoil system the gun appears to be a 150 MM Schweres Feld Haubitze 18. My best guess based on the shape of the projectile, particularly the rotating band, is a "15 cm gr 36 FES"(Source, TM 1985-3, German Explosive Ordnance, Projectiles and Projectile Fuzes, p 494, 1953.

@Sturm: last image, those are 15 cm Granate 19 fitted with a AZ 23 umg., those were not just shot by s.F.H. 18.
Also s. F.H. 18/1, s.F.H. 42, s.H.T. and lg. s. F.H. 13.

I think French, 370 mm.
The ones in front are a give away, Obus de 370 mm explosief en acier, mod 1915.
The disc at the front houses the fuze and holds the (here missing) ballistic cap in place.
Shot by the Mortier de 370 mm Filloux
Thanks a lot for your help, Zünder...
I think you are the only one interested on WW2 artillery ammo in this forum... :D

Do you have any idea about my images posted here on 08 Oct 2016 and 10 Nov 2016 ??

Regards Sturm78
Yeah well, me and you. ;-)

8 Oct.: judging by the shape, the coloured ring and the nose plug: british, difficult to say exactly, i'd say 9,2" or 12".
10 Nov: i think french, 220 mm, but picture is not detailled enough for a specified identification.

Zünder,

Sturm78
These look like 10,5 cm S.K. C/32 HE rounds to me.
But impossible to tell what type exactly.

Can somebody identify this railgun round ??
24cm or 28cm shell ??

Image from Ebay
Sturm78
I think 28 cm, powderbags for 24 cm were longer.
It's either K5 or Br. N-K.
Shell is a tarfilled practice shot, "BL" = "Blind", meaning that it does not contain a HE load.

As far as i know, 38 and 42 cm had an identical shape, so no way to indentify which one is in the picture.
