please note shells with exagonal base and 3 driving band. Only french shell in this way.
As Zunder has already said, 140Kg is not suitable for a 28cm.

Ummhhhh...here another image of the same photo serie with one of this shells with 3 driving bands being loaded in a gun with a typical german breech mechanism.... :?

Yeah, saw that picture on the french site, very interesting.
That's a french navy Obus de Rupture (APHE), i'd say 24 cm. As far as i know, there was no 28 cm of this type.
It would be interesting to check that breech, wether or not it is a 28 cm SK L/40.

I think it will be difficult to identify the exact model of the gun ....

Here, another image from the net, labeled as 28cm SK L40 Graf Spee batterie....the shells are very different...

Looking at the loading mechanism it looks like a turret bunker, the problem is I don't
know French 24 cm turrets in A.W. The 24 cm K.M. 02/06 (f) has a squire breech block .

Could it be B. Brandenburg 24 cm S.K.C/97 ????

28cm shells for SK L40 gun but....Any idea about the exact model?
It seems a WWI-era design....

We have visited the batterie Graf Spee several times. I don’t remember those concrete posts in the 2 large ammunition bunkers, nor in the 7 smaller ones. Where could they be ?
Nothing similar with that picture and mine, nor in the drawings we made.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think it’s Graf Spee. And if it isn’t, what about the shell calibre ?

Basement of Turm III ?

The last one looks like a variant of the French "Aerial torpedo" spigot mortar bomb.

The spigot mortar was either fired with a powder charge or compressed air, depending on who made it.

Sturm78
Correct.
Armour piercing 7,5 cm Pzgr.Patr. 39 Pak 40 on the right.
And most likely a high explosive 7,5 cm Spgr. Patr. 34 Pak 40 in the middle. Could also be a smoke shell but in that case there should be a large Nb (Nebel) on the side of the shell.

Not german but... I think British 381mm 15in shells for Ordnance BL 15inch howitzer. Is this correct ?
