Thank you very much for your answer, ROLAND1369 ...
Is this shell for the 194mm GPF SP gun or for 194mm Mle 1870-93 rail gun ?

Yes, it is quite difficult to identify the different types of artillery ammunition from wartime photos...

It is impossible to identify most ammunition without an idea of scale in the picture or some markings. i would however give a 75 % chance that these are French 194 MM FAO
HE projectile. It and not fitted with its detachable wind screen extension. I base this on the shape of the projectile, particularly the nose and number and location of rotating band, a very tenuous form of id. Source: KENNBLATTER FREMDEN GERATS, HEFT 8B, MUNITION AB 3.7 CM, DAM 12-5-41.
I don't think this a 194 mm.
The driving band on a 194 mm is located about 20 mm above the edge of the boattail and has two grooves, the shells in the picture have one groove.
If these were 194 FAO, there should be a clear edge around the top where the balltstic cap would normally be fitted.

I think the only likely candidate is a Obus de 155 explosif en fonte aciérée mod. 1925.

Thanks, Zünder

I am not an ammunition expert so I have no way of knowing which one is right ...
