I think I can read “Schönberg”. There is such a town in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. From what I could find, Batterie Tirpitz was indeed positioned in Schönberg, near Kiel, from 1935/36 (time of contruction) until 1940 (move to Holland).

One of the pictures seems to show a gun at the time of construction of the battery.

Dear Emmanuel,

Do you then think it possible, then, that the photograph was taken when the Batterie Tirpitz was in Schönberg?

Best,

Nezar

That's what the caption on the back would indicate indeed. :)

I've published a new article dedicated to Tirpitz battery of Constanta (3rd part of a larger article),for now it's available only in Romanian, but I will add the English version in weekend.
I've also made an architectural plan (Revit, AutoCAD compatible), a 100% exact copy (on scale) of the remains of the Tirpitz bunker. All dimensions and angles are correct, the bunker was the subject of hundreds of measurements with laser and classic instruments.
It's hard to say what was the purpose of the bunker, the battery was build by digging in the ground and using planks of wood to wainscot the "walls". There were only a few concrete buildings (gun's foundations, the FuMO radar and this bunker). Germans dinamited the whole area when they left, 69 years ago, so... that's all we got now. The bunker have 1.5 m thick walls and the ceiling is 1.86 m thickness.
Guess I've developed some kind of a bond with the remains of the Tirpitz battery of Constanta, it's an year since I'm visiting and exploring the site. 8O

Hope there is no problem publishing the URL here. There are no ads or something there, it's a 100% clean site, just bunkers and history:

Looking forward to reading an english version of the article. Looks as if a great deal of work was done compiling it.

However, I note that the Calais photos used for some of the illustrations is from the Grosser K. Battery, which had 28 cm SKL/50 guns in Kst.Drh.L.C/37 as opposed to the Tirpitz battery having 28 cm SKL/45 in WW I type Bettungschiessgerüst.

Guess you're right Janef, I've used as source for that a book dedicated to the Atlantic Wall (can't remember its title right now), written in German. Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with Goethe's language, so I had to OCR the text besides the pics and then translate the text with Google. Soemtimes the result has a meaning and a logic, sometimes not. This time it had not.

Here it is the picture of the text besides the photo, maybe some German language native can enlighten me. The OCR text sounds like this:

I guess the pictures of the article could not be full-screened before, it's fixed now. I will add English version tomorrow
