Looks like a 10.5cm K 331(f) with the gun pulled back? I'm giving the German designation as I can't remember the French designation.

Hi Clive,

I think it's not a Krupp-Putilov 122mm M1909. In any case I think it is closer to a Schneider-Putilov 122mm M1910 but there are also many differences:

The shield is completely different, the wheels not match and I think the cradle either.....
These Romanian howitzers seems to have a handwheel in front of the shield....

Perhaps a Schneider export model for Romania....?? :?

See http://www.jaegerplatoon.net/122H1040_1.jpg for the Russian 122mm M1910

Hi Sturm

I think this gun looks more like the one you first posted than the one on the Jaegerplatoon site. Pity I cannot speak Romanian.

Hi Clive,

Here two images from the net of the 122mm Krupp-Putilov M1909 howitzer.
I think the Romanian howitzers (in my image and in yours, posted yesterday) are not clearly an 122mm Krupp M1909.

I still think that the Romanian howitzers of my image are a model of the Schneider company....Which ??? :? Somebody ??

Hi shamirnewell,

I don`t think 122mm M1910-30 ...it is similar design but there are several differencies. See my post of 30 Nov 2017....

This is an Obusier de 10.5 cm Schneider from Musée Royal de l'Armée, Brussels. A lot in common with the Romanian example

Hi Strum

I think the two Colonels have made an error in their labeling of the photo. It is a Schneider design, I think it is a 122mm model 10 Schneider-Putilov.

Hi Dimitris

I cannot find any reference to the Romanians having Schneider 105mm Howitzers during WW1. The trouble with Schneider guns and howitzers of the period they all look similar.

Thanks for your answer, Dimitris....There are some similitudes between your image of 105mm Schneider howitzer and the two howitzers of my image posted on 29 Nov 2017,,,but there are a lot of differences, also..

Without doubt the Romanian howitzers are a Schneider design but....Which ??? :? :?

In this link http://www.worldwar2.ro/arme/?section=18 is not said nothing about any 105mm, 120mm or 155mm Schneider howitzer in Romanian Army use....
