Hello Sturm78
Looks a lot like the first picture of this Topic , these guns were in the Maginot-line pre W.W. II .

Re: Id. old gun
According to the writing on the back of Sturm78's ebay picture, this gun was positionned between Obermuspach (Muspach-Le-Haut in French) and Linsdorf. This is an area in Eastern France just west of Basel in Switzerland so at the very edge of the Maginot Line.

Hi Emmanuel
It's not my speciality , but I have heard the Maginot line stopped at Menton ( Cap Martin ).
Even one block of the Ouvrage Sainte Agnes was reused as German artillery .

Re: Id. old gun
Jos,
It's not my specialty either but I had always heard and thought that the Maginot Line ran from the Swiss border to the Ardennes. So, after further research, I found that that the fortifications along the French-Italian border were indeed part of the Maginot Line and nicknamed the Alpine Line ("Ligne alpine") or the little Maginot Line ("la petite Ligne Maginot"). Thank you for making me research this subject ! I've learned something new today.
