Re: 2 cm Flak C30 ??
Hi all,
I found this image on a Czech website forum (Valka.cz) of a 2cm MG151 Drilling mount on a trailer.
Does somebody know if this trailer is the standard method of transport this weapon or only a makeshift method ?? Sd.Ah.52 trailer ??

Re: 2 cm Flak C30 ??
From the peculiar rounded two level bridge I would say that this is one of the 9 ex French prototype K40, Vedettes Lance Torpilles (VLT) which were being built in France for the Spanish Republican navy. They were taken over by the Germans for Air Sea Rescue boats under the designation SA 2. Obviously late in the war with the heavy armament. The survivors were used after the war by the allies on the Rhine River Patrol as river gunboats. Ignore the turrets on the drawings i have never seen such an arrangement on the German boats.

I found this image on the net of a K40 motorboat. I think the bridge is quite different....
