Great manual, thanks! :)
The gun was designated as Modell S, not Typ S as I see.

Hi Grzesio,

I think this gun (Model S of the manual) was not adopted by German Army. I think German Army adopted a more modern version with a three legs mount and metal wheels with solid rubber tires

Here anr image from Ebay:

That's the question!
There were models F, L and S in 1920s, there were FF F, FF L and FF S in mid 1930's... Was there something else in between, in late 1920s? Was there "Oerlikon FF" (without F, L or S suffixes) at all?
And what were the actual barrel lengths of the German Oerlikons (2 cm Flak 38 and naval 2 cm Flak 29) - 60 or 70 calibres?
One of the problems I see in interpreting photographs is, Germans obviously used much more captured Oerlikon guns than their original ones of late 1920s, so it's hard to distinguish actual variants.

Hi all,

Another three images of German AA Oerlikon guns. I think this is the model adopted by German Army.
German designation Flak 28. I do not know the manufacturer designation :(

It would be interesting to learn, how many original 2 cm Flak 28 guns were delivered to Germany and when.
As I understand, it was a transitional model adopted in late 1920s for initial training, before new types (2 cm Flak 30) could be introduced - in such a case "real" 2 cm Flak 28s should be rather rare and not numerous.
