Sorry Dili. Cappellano not specify any quantity : "Nel 1943 insieme alle mitraglirea da 2cm ed ai cannoni da 8.8cm, i tedeschi rifornirono il RE anche di vari pezzi automatici FlaK da 37mm,...." )

Cappellano also mentions that the 37mm Flak was developed from Solothurn ST-10 or S10-100 swiss AA gun but referring to the 3.7cm Flak 18 and Flak 36/37. I do not think the guns of these photos are originals Solothurn ST-10 or S10-100 because they have a one axle carriage. The Germans first developed (based on Swiss Solothurn design) the 3.7cm Flak 18 with a two axle carriage and then simplified the design with a one axle carriage: 3.7cm Flak 36/37.
The guns of these photos have already a single axle carriage, so I guess that their design will be after the 3.7cm Flak 18.

Hi all,

Well, I have come to the conclusion that all the guns in this thread are 3.7cm Solothurn ST10-100. They can be distinguished by its triangular mount, two pointers in the front and by a kind of small shield on the right side. This weapon was not adopted by German Army but was sold to Greece, Romania and Italy, at least. This weapon also was evaluated by Japan (See http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 1&start=15)

Have anyone any idea of its period of manufacture? Amounts?

Regards Sturm78.

Two more wartime pictures from ebay (not 100% sure if this is the same gun on the 2nd picture but the wheels look the same). Has anyone be able to figure out if this gun was a 3,7 cm Flak 39 or Solothurn ST-10-100?

Thank you for your images, Emmanuel

The wheels of the guns of your photos look like the Greek guns.

Here is a picture showing similar 3,7 cm Flak guns in the Argentinian army in the late 40's towed by T-16 Bren Gun Carriers. The details of the wheels are hard to distinguish but look like the same as for the Greek guns:

Can anyone identify the nationality of the soldiers with Adrian helmet?

According to photocaption the image was taken in France but according to my information this gun was not used by German Army
