Hi all,

I found this image on EBay. I am not sure but I think an 3,7 cm Flak Rheinmetall/Solothurn M1936 ?? Romanian gun, probably...
Any additional wartime image of this gun will be wellcome.

Hi all.

I found this interesting photo on an Estonian forum.
Can anyone identify the exact model of this gun? :?
It looks like another missing link in the long chain of German 3,7 cm Flak guns. 8O
It can be seen that the arrangement of the handwheels of the pointers is different from the Greeks and Romanians 3,7 cm cannons and also is different from the German 3,7 cm Flak 18 guns.... :? :?

Any idea??

Hi apollo111

Thanks a lot for posting the image of the 3.7cm Flak gun of 22 Dec 2020... :)
I think it is a very rare and interesting image.

Is this gun of Greece Army ? :?
All images of these guns in service with Greece Army that I have seen have different wheels with solid pnematic tyres...

I have seen this gun model in service with Greece, Romania and Italy but I think this gun have some differences with those guns of these countries.

In fact, I have never seen this type of wheels on this gun
Nor had he ever seen an associated limber for towing the weapon. It seems that the limber was designed for horse drawn but instead the wheels, with rubber tires, suggest motorized towing.... :?

A photo of a similar gun carriage is in the company's technical brochure Solothurn.

Thanks for the new image, apollo111.

I think this Solothurn gun is a different model as, you notice, the carriage have a cruciform carriage with 4 legs, instead a triangular carriage base....
I never have seen this Solothurn design.... 8O "3.7cm Maschinenkanone in Feldlafette"

Do you have any aditional image and/or information about this gun form the brochure ?
I tnink a very similar gun was selled to Estonian Navy in a static version...
