Are those telescopes at the rearward portion?Sturm78 wrote:Hi all,

Re: 10.5cm Flak38-39 photos
Hi Markus,
I think your images are not Rheinmetall 10.5cm Flak 38-39 standard AA guns, but rather the prototypes made by Krupp or Rheinmetall.
You can see many differences from the production guns.
Very rare images!! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Sturm,
A very similar gun is labeled 10,5 cm Flak 38 in Enzyklopädie deutscher Waffen 1939-1945 by Terry Gander and Peter Chamberlain.

Thank you very much for your image, Taranov.
Another image from Ebay: SdKfz 7 8ton halftracks (of different pattern) towing 10.5cm Flak guns. These guns weighed more than 10ton in travel position.

Re: 10.5cm Flak38-39 photos
Hi all,
I found on Ebay this image. I think it is a curious non standard weapon.
I think it is 8.8cm Flak 36 but the wheels of the Sd.Ah. 202 are very rares.
In fact, the wheels are very similar to the guns (10.5cm Flak prototypes) of the picture posted by Bill 13 on 18 Jul 2006 in this thread : http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 0&t=104728

Re: 10.5cm Flak38-39 photos
It obviously is the 8,8 cm Flak 36, I just think the Sd.Ah. 202 is of an early version.

Jos,
The presence of the Übertragungsgerät 37 rectangular dial on the last two pictures indicate that the gun is a Flak 39 version.

A short film about 10.5 cm Flak:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... DcaZZWYWFA
What's interesting, it also shows the gun's mechanised loading in action (1:49 and 2:03).
I only have no idea, why the empty loading tray returns to the ramming position (where it would be struck by the recoiling barrel) after the cartridge is rammed and the tray swings back to its original position near the fuse setting tray. Probably an operating error?
