Westwall Regelbau B1-5
Here I have a nice B1-5 with a few changes in the execution.
It has a Schartenplatte 7P7 in the frontal combat room an a Schartenplatte 10P7 behind a Treppenscharte in the flanking combat room.
Standart would be two 7P7 in both combat rooms
The frontal combat room ist turned a few degrees off.
Perhaps can Daniel (20P7) explain somthing about the bunker
Here are the pics.

Interesting, nice pictures, thanks!
Re: Westwall Regelbau B1-5
Hello Markus,
within the series of the standard design bunkers of the so-called Pionierprogramm it was quite common the adapt the axis of the Mg room to fit best with the specific needs of a certain location. In some cases this was done so regularely that types with a certain degree of the frontal MG room where marked with a "a" suffix, like B1/5a or B1/7a.
Beside this it was also common within this series of standard design bunkers to replace the 7P7 by the 10P7. In such cases the weakness of the steelplate (6 cm instead of 10 cm) was compensated by a concrete layer in front of it. Maybe this was done due to the lack of enough 7P7 or maybe someone decided to reduce the armour protection of the less exposed MG room. But this explanation would make no sence in the case of this specific bunker, as the flanking MG room is exposed very much due to the road leading just below this one.
PS.: The letter is on the way.
Greetings
Daniel

Hi Friends,
I have good news:
We, the Westwall Interessen Gemeinschaft, have a contract with the Bunker Owner, an can beginn to restorate the
Bunker!
In the next weeks we would start the work. Today I had cleaned all rooms from the rubbish. It was a work for 3,5 hours and 45 buckets full of rubbish...
So I will document all works with pictures...

Re: Westwall Regelbau B1-5
Hi Tonnes,
No Problem,
but it is a B1-5, not a B1-5a
It is located in Sulzbach/Saar next the L 125 (Sulzbachtalstraße) right Hand in the wood, coming from Dudweiler in front of a Opel-car-center...
The other project is still in me eye
Best Regards
Markus

Hi Friends,
our small bunker has a new entrance door. We got a 14P7 from another bunker which isn´t in use for public, but still in use for civil watersupply.
Here are some pics from our works to get the door out und then in the new place.
BRegards

Nice to see another 14P7. The steel plate on the outside of the door is welded?

Re: Westwall Regelbau B1-5
Hi Arthur,
The plate on the outside of the door is weldes on it, yes.
On this door, the "Mannlochklappe" is missing, so there is welded another plate on it.
We have another "Mannlochklappe" and must modify it, then we can take it in the door and make it original.
