Hello Sturm78 ,
Good question . the 8,8 cm SKC 30 U is mentioned in some paper sources ,
but J have not seen any photo of it .

There are pictures of the 8,8 cm SKC 30U in navweaps:
http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNGER_88mm-30_skc97.htm

But I understand that there was also a 8,8 cm Ubts. u. Tbts Flak L/30 which was different from the above SKC 30U:

does anyone knows or has a picture or drawing of the guns used in batterie heerenduin. (SKL 40/17cm krupps)
it seems that there is no metal box around the gun, and what type of mounting plate was used here?
where they originally from the SMS Deutschland?

Hello Everybody,

The well-known picture hereunder is reported to have been taken inside the Stp Hundius in Ostend, but I have some doubt about that.
Can someone identify the type of gun on this picture or recognize the port entrance in the background?

@ Yuri, do you have contact with Ruud Pols , he has a lot of information about Heerenduin .

@ Pierre, could it be the 15 cm Uto Flak at M.K.B. Hundius used for star shells ?

Hi Jos,

On the Gliederung we find that on the 1-2-1943, the Leuchtgeschutz of the MKB was a 15,5 cm s.f.h. (f).
On the next Gliederungs of 1-12-1943 and 1-4-1944, we just have as information 15 cm L.G. but with the symbol of a Howitser, not of a gun.
Jos, do you have any document mentioning the type of this 15cm? 15 cm looks very big for a submarine or Flak gun.

Hello
The gun is an 15 cm Uto C/16 ( for short ) . Designed for use on larger submarine in WW 1 .
Normal elevation - 10 + 30 , other uses up to + 40 . From old Krupp papers :
E - Scheibe für Wasserziele
E- Scheibe für Scheinwerfer
E - Scheibe für Luftziele

Here is some photos :
