Thank you, VladAlex

How is posible to differenciate between 10.5cm SK C28 and 10.5cm SCK C32 ??

Is this one another 10.5cm SK C28?

Sorry, no.
Information is based on a long-years study of my friend Dag Sundquist, pictures, and Siegfried Breyers texts from MA.

It is a long, long story.
In the book "10,5 cm SKC/32 Saga..." By V.Alexandrescu & Dag Sunquist, Ed.Concordia-Arad, 2013, all is described with engineers precision.

In the pictures posted by you, is a Shield type 2 used with 10,5 cm M.P.L. C/32; C/35 from page 117 from the book.

Thank you, vladalex ...It seems a very complex issue, given the large number of existing mounts and shields for the different types of 10.5cm naval guns.... :?

You know where you can buy that book?

Best regards

Who has any idea on this gun , could be 15 cm or 17 cm . My first thoughts were M.K.B. Jacobsen
but the three's ?? the chimneys are typical naval model .

Picture's = Ebay

I would say that these are 170 mm skl 40 in Drhl C01 turrets emplaced at battery Erhhardt Schmidt at Fehmarn. The rotrusions on the roof are sighting hoods for the gunner. I would say this is an early picture as the soldier standing by the gun does not appear to have a breast eagle on his uniform.

My mistake, a little edit of the photo shows a breast eagle.

No, thank you. This is the first pictures I have seen of this elusive mounting out side of the ones at jacobson. Acording to the info I have seen these two were the only batteries so equipped.

Hi,
I will agree, that this is Batterie Ehrhardt Schmidt. But it is not the island Fehmarn ! It is the penisula called Darss.

That explains why it doesnt match the stripmap. I was going by the table in rolfs Atlantic Wall book which list the location as felmarn. As to the referred page, Thanks but I am familar with it. It only has photos of the 4 gun in an open emplacement. I was more interested in the turret mounts. They and the ones at Jacobsen appear to have come from the Braunschweig-class predreadnoughts converted or broken up prior to the war. With 6 utilized in batteries there is question what happened to the other 14. I know of no other batteries which used this turret mount.
