7.5 cm PaK 97/38

#1

Post by jopaerya » 02 Nov 2009, 17:44

Hello

I have seen on quite a few 7.5 cm PaK 97/38 photo's , that there is a text "Hochstgeswindigkeit 20 k.m." on the shield
does this mean that the gun could transported with a top-speed ( Babelfish translation ) max. 20 K.M. per hour ??
or does it mean something else ??

Photo's = Ebay.de

Regards Jos

Hi Jos

Is it German? The half-track is not a German one, it is of a type I have not seen before. Could it be post war?

Hi Clive & Jos,

The half-track is an ex-French Unic TU 1 aka Zugkraftwagen U 305 (f).

Hi Markus

Thanks for the ID on the half track. They are very unusal wheels.

The second photo looks like the gun has been raised to increase its elevation for field gun role.

Sure looks that way. More HE'ish positions at http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... s#p1529791 Looks like the top shot has both a raised platform and circle section trail pit.
