Hi Jos,

I didn´t think that this one is a german... if when, perhaps a Fakebunker or one for training at Schießlatz Kummersdorf or Hillersleben?
The copoulars look like concrete ones and the sloop holes are light small.

Or a polish one?

I wish all of You and Your families a Merry X-Mas!

BRegards

not seen anything that looks like that before, even the bunker is an odd shape, i am guessing dutch o polish, they seem to have some un-usual designs, i am gessing said bunker is also no longer visable or has been demolished a it would have been photographed.

hi, do you have any more info on this bunker such as possible location, dates, or any other images, what i can see of the turret looks familer somehow, may have seen something like that in one of my fortress books, the turret looks similar to ones i have seen pics of beikng installed into the metz fortifications, the concrete also feels belgian, yet the cupola looks german.

hmm ye now i look at it, the concrete and armour does look slightly polish, shame there are no other identifying features in the landscape, dont suppose anyone knows the unit those troops belong too, may get something from that, the smaller turret has a slight Maginot Cloche look to it, does the owner of this image have any issue me copying it to my pc, i want to see if i can blow up the area around the turret as it dosnt quite look right the way it is sitting on the top there at the back.

Hello,

3 pictures from e-bay, showing the same bunkertype, presumably during an exercise with flamethrower. So Andrew could be rigth, maybe this type was used for training.

According to the photo caption however, the bunkers are Czech. I tend to go with Andrew, German bunkers for training.

Regards,

Barovic

Hello
Could this be the experimental 42P8 turret, which was installed on Hillersleben proving grund ?
The 42P8 had got a diameter of about 4 meters and a height of about 1,5 meters.

AFAIK, it's a fully training turret. Remains were found in Poland few years ago. 2 layers of thin steel sheet, with concrete in between.
