Hi jos,
"St" means "bomb protection" (bomb proof)?
this kind of bunkers, were only for the soldier or also for the civilian?
thanks

Usually only for the soldiers who manned the weapons inside of the bunker.
I'm not sure if air raid shelters for civilians were marked with St at all.

Hi Allain,
With all due respect. Are you quite sure it is a L 416A and not a Bauform L16? According to RR the L 416A was built in Denmark only.

Hello SES

If you see the back entrance of the first picture , it's missing doors and also the typical pipes are missing .
For me it's not a 669 , so I would go for the L 416A . When Rudi wrote his latest book , not the Typenheft ,
it's was quite a few years ago and a lot of new discoveries has been made in the bunker world .

There is a other possible L 416A ?????? in the Luftwaffe 8.8 cm flakbatterie at "cimetière Russe" at Nice
the problem here is that the bunker is destroyed but you can see the runway from the 8.8 cm bettung
to the bunker with tobruk .

Hi,
Since I have not been on the location in question, I have no real issue with this, just raising a flag.

You are the Bunker Master in France
Not Jos I am just an amateur who learns every day

HES the typ L16 does not possess a roof also importantante as on the photo, it is of the massif! For me it can be only L416A
I do not know how Rolf with fact its list, but I can say that many data are missing
Some examples
V206 in Beautiful Island (Aok 7 Lorient)
He(It) miss the plans: Vf 26, R.520, Bh 89, Fl 316, Fl195, Fl 196, Fl 129, Fl 189, Bh47a, Fl192, Fl 193, more Bh and Fl

For Jos good idée for L416A at Nice because airport is not more far !!!!

Don't really know these L series but did they have big exhaust pipes on the back and double antenna tubes through the roof like St bunkers?
The photo of Alain looks like a big fat St.

Rolf is wrong sometimes, but that's the fault of the Germans and their lists ;)
He also missed 2 x L 414A on Guernsey for example.
