The Kriegsmarine M.A. used 8 railwayguns as coast defence guns , the original French name is "Matériel de
240 mm TAZ Modèle 1893/96 Colonies" these guns could fire rounds with a maximum range of 22.7 k.m.

M.K.B. Ofoten 4./511 in 1944 replaced to M.K.B. Naerbo 6./503 with 4 x 24 cm K.(E) 558 (f) ( Norway )
M.K.B. Batz 4./280 with 2 x 24 cm K.(E) 558 (f) (St. Nazaire) relocated closer to the Landfront Festung St Nazaire .
M.K.B. Prefailles 5./280 with 2 x 24 cm K.(E) 558 (f) (St. Nazaire) plans were found at the site for a Schartenstand .
