Very interesting Jos!

Looks like someone decided to reduce the elements of a fortified observationpost to the absolute minimum (the lowest common denominator ;-)

Hi Jos,
This picture was also in the book of AC "Mythe ou Realité".
Nice bunker however!
According to AC's list two were built.
Greetings Jack.

Here some pictures from Manuheb from a tobruk in W.n. 31 ,
looks that the Kleinstglocke was not placed in this tobruk yet .

has anyone measured this tobruk? i hope so and please let that person be so kind to give the plan to us all
The SHM plan of this Tobruk shows it has a door (passage) of 60 cm instead of 80 cm
00.jpg
we can see at this picture on the original Tobruk they has put another new " ring " of concrete
00 1.jpg
on which they can install the cupola so the Tobruk ring is raised a bit
We can see this very good at the SHM plan
00 2.jpg
but we all know the SHM plans are full of errors so if anyone can give the dimensions of the one that is opened that could be a gain for all here
in the newspaper they said they studied each construction before reclosing ... so i ll think it surely means they have been measuring
the cupola installed must be this one
00 3.jpg
here we can see the original Tobruk ring (other color of concrete also
00 1a.jpg
of what we can see on the pictures and the SHM plan we have as a base a Tobruk 58c with high door and passage of 60 cm

Jos your picture on top here is not Courseulles but Mont Fleury (Ver sur Mer)
it can t be courseulles because the soil is not sand ...

It looks that way
there are two with cuppola at Courseulles , identified by A Chazette but in a special tobruk (not the SHM plan)
one at Courseulles that didn t recieve his turret (you know the pictures)
one here at Mont Fleury ...... that s at least 4 already

That s what we thought so and that is why we put some topics of this here
So if you did find the Tobruk at Courseulles (the SHM model) can you please tell us or show us where this is because the two in the sea front fwith the cupollas there in Courseulles are two with rear entrances (we have pictures of the two) Hope to go further there in the courseulles topic ths evening
so can you place your tobruks in courseulles please ?
that s gonna give a good start here
Thanks if you do this

If you say two tobruks with cupollas in Courseulles (and the one you dig out is one of them ... then you have noticed that the cupola has not been installed on the one you did dig out because if so the beton would be cracked up and that is not what we see on your pictures ....
