Could it be a 7.5 cm Flak 264/4 or Cannone da 75/46 modello 40

Hi Sturm

I at first considered it could be a Cannone da 76/40 but the Mod 33 had its recoil system under the gun and the Mod 35 had only one recoil hosing above the gun.

It is not as I first suggested a 75/45 as both the mobile and static versions only had one recoil cylinder above the gun.

Could it be a Cannone da 75/45 CA? I only have a side view photo of this weapon (Weapons of the Thrid Reich, Gander and Chamberlin) or a static Cannone da 90/53. http://ww2f.com/weapons-technology-wwii ... -help.html I am not sure the guys on that forum are certain of what the gun is but it looks like the one Jos has posted on here.

Hello Guys

Thanks for your reply's , it's a pity that the powder fume's block a good view on the gun .
The two retrievers on top of the gun are only used by a few guns .

Hello Jos ,
Your gun is a 76/40 , you can see it by the
two thick cylinders above the gun barrel

The drawing looks like the gun in the photo Jos posted so I agree we are loking at a 76/40. I also found this drawing of one http://www.amv-lilliput.org/modelli/Doc ... 076-40.JPG which looks a bit clearer.

I have also found this drawing http://www.elbafortificata.it/76-40.htm which looks like the gun in photo in the Gander and Chamberlain book.
