Hello All

From what I can read on the French Forum , the basic outer form of the V.F. 8 is the same as the 58d 3.70 by 2.20
but the smal room has a height of 1.20 . If you compare this with the 58c left side 2.20 and the right side 2.35 and
the lenght 3.70 , but the height of the small room is for both 58c and 58d is 1.90 .

So the main difference between the both 58c, 58d and the V.F.8 is the height of the extra room .

Hello Herring

If the numbers on the Forum are right , this should be the VF 8 .

Hello,

After playing a bit with plans above, I've looked for 100th time at documents, that I have for a long time, and look what I've noticed: document doesn't mention any name of any structure, but apparently there is a sketch of structure, that fits to VF8.

For me even the height may change
one thing thats particular about a VF 8 its not the height but the door , he is right up to the ceiling you don t have to move your head down before entering the entrance i hope you understand
the height vchange with the number of step on the stairs ( 25 height par step)
so a VF 8 can be also 1m 90 but than you have three steps etc
From outside you see only the thickness of the roof by a VF 8 and by a 58c its way lower
i ve posted pictures here on this forum (tobtuk high entrance)
for me thats the easiest way to determine the type so on normal tobruks we have only a Vf 8 and a Bf 58c
we can place 90 procent of all the tobruks in these categories
The tank turrets is a more different story

Hi friends,
There is one more major difference between a Bauform 201 and Bauform 202/Vf 8. The 201 is asymmetrical in the "ring-end" where as the other two are symmetrical.

oke confirmation please for this dummy..
this tobruk was measured 26 times in stp. gr. scheveningen.
(probably alot of these 26 were 58c, BRV was not so precise with small differences)

this is 58d?
greetings, tim
