Hello,
FH3 we good know from the DK Wall, often seen and measure.
But whats going on with the FH 1/2? How they look?
Maybe a question for the norwegian fraction.

What is an FH3? :?
Never heard of it, but maybe it's just the abbreviation.

Hello
I cant add anything but questions.
F I-III ? KInd of funny if you do a search. F-III pops up only in Denmark, not in Norway. In Norway Falkenhorst bunker seems to be a common word for a feldm.bunker. I cant see the difference between a feldm.wohnbunker and a Falkenhorst Wohnbunker when out looking at german fortifications. Most likely its my limited knowledge of F or Vf, R or H, L and all sorts of variations. I have seen the term Falkenorst wohnbunker on maps and in documents, but not a FH I, II, or III. Different ways to build the wohnbunker, but not the numbering.
Just to make me even more confused some comes up with F 109 B(?) and mention Falkenhorst, others fill it in with other bunkers and make it a serie of Falkenhorst. Now we have F I-III, and F 100 and upwards ?
Added a photo of a bunker, 3 rooms if i recall it right. On the outside it looks what others call a FH-III, but as mentioned its larger. Dont know any term for it, it just seems to be a ordinary Feldm.bunker
Most like to have the terms right, and i can understand why alex is asking on the FH I & II.
My questions is simple, i want to get it right and it would be great if anyone could add som valid documentation for the FH I, II, and III, and the Falkenhorst 100 serie. With limited access to first hand documentation i hope that some of you could add it here :-)
regards

Hello

As Stril stated please keep the facts strait , in the Bauforschrittsplan Denmark the Falkenhorst III Wohnunterstand
( Roman numbers ) and the F-standen are in Arabic numbers . One and one is not allways two ;-)

It's probably a typo, since all Falkenhorst bunkers listed in the Baufortschrittsmeldung are of type Falkenhorst III.
As far as I know, no Falkenhorst II has been found in Denmark.

However, the construction of Falkenhorst bunkers was later forbidden.
German Bunkers in Denmark, p. 21 wrote:On the contrary the W.B. Dänemark on June 22nd [1944] ordered a partial change of the Sommer-Bauprogramm, the summer construction programme, referring to the experiences gained on the invasion coast. According to these the troops had to be accomodated in bomb-proof bunkers only. This implied that the construction of quarters of the field-type Falkenhorst III was to be put to an end. Instead 207 shelters of type 621 were to be built.
