What is this ??
What is this ??
Hello All
Any one has a idea what this is/was ?? , I allready had the one from the B.P.K. with Hitler during a weapondisplay
in 1943 , the other one is from Ebay is from a Waffen Prüf Westende what looks like a shootingrange .
Could be for mobile ammo car or as - armoured observationpost ????
Regards Jos

Mobile shelter? Looks like the crews are taking cover in the upper photos.

Re: What is this ??
It's the first portaloo. In the second photo you can clearly see the führer is quite desperate to go. Speer seems none to happy that Hitler's pushed in front of the queue.

Thanks @ndrew
For the picture's , the option that OpanaPointer is also a good one .
The option from Simon Orchard is the best one yet .

Re: What is this ??
It appears to be an expansion on the principle of the caisson, the auxiliary equipment carried in the box until needed, and then the carrier used as a splinter shelter for the crew when a position comes under fire. The one that's "dug in" was probably not fit for travel any more, or the unit was in a siege situation.jopaerya wrote:Thanks @ndrew

All my best guess, based on personal experience in later wars.

Re: What is this ??
I wish I could find a pix from the "Adolf Hitler Cigarette Book". He's trying to project the "just folks" image, so we see him at a "rest break" somewhere in the forest. He's obvious taking a leak against a tree.

It seems as he might have a slight waterworks problem as he has pushed in front again
