Re: Question: german radars in Italy
Hi,
another radar found in Genoa: a Wurzburg type D, located on the top of a hill in the west side of the city.
Very close to a couple of anti-aircraft batteries and the Ansaldo factories.
slowly but surely.......

Re: Question: german radars in Italy
Hi friends,
I need your help, again
what do you think about this support (..... I'm not sure "support" is the right word......)?
could it be for a Radar?
It's placed on the roof of an observatory bunker.
Battery "Chiappa", near Portofino, Genoa
regards
Massimo

Hi,
It could indeed be for a FuMO 3, but I'm not sure.

Re: Question: german radars in Italy
Did any of the sites mentioned earlier on this thread include a list of German Luftwaffe and KM radar sites in/near Anzio from late 1943 thru the relief of the beachhead?
Re: Question: german radars in Italy
From the KTB West Adria about naval radar , also a note, on a other page, about a Fu.M.O. 21 placed on a lighthouse .
