allready in 1939 there was a order given by the OKH about the replacement of concrete by rock. In this paper dated 31.05.1939 there are detailed explanations how much to reduce the outer walls of bunkers in strenght A and B. Even if this paper was ment to be used by the Festungspioniere building the Westwall it was also the basement for other regulations given later on during the war. The dimensions are in short terms:
A buildings outer walls may be reduced to 2 m and B buildings outer walls may be reduced to 1 m. This reductions may not start before a strength of rock of 1,5 m deepness. The foundation may be reduced to 30 cm.
As the connecting tunnel linking the 633/634 at Stp. Corbiere, Jersey, is really just a back filled trench which has a covering of a depth of about 3 metres of Granite rubble on it would it still have the strengh of a B building or does the rock need to be solid?
