Looks like he's drawing Chamberlain, so maybe this photo is from 1938.

Neville Chamberlain was prime minister until 10th May 1940, so most likely the photo dates after 3rd September 1939; until then the Germans would have no problems with Chamberlain.

WERK ANNITA
We want to bring ourselfs to the great denomination of a grand German!
And if the world is full of devils[work?], we still have to succeed!
Not sure if "denomination of a grand German" refers to an idea or to Hitler.

And the poem:
Life is so peaceful here
at well-known father Rhine.
You're thirsty - drink a few bottles of beer,
could also go bathing still just fine.
Just know this one thing -
"keep calm" or be thrown out.

Hi Jos,

Thx for sharing.
The "Numbercode" is a 1 (think for WH- Nummer) an B1/23 for the Regelbau.
A Stand with Dreischartenturm in B1

It looks there was either a shed in front of the bunker, or the photographer had some big mobile lamps!

That is possible : a kerosene driven 500cp german Petromax lantern will give out around 500 candlepower (or better 500Hk).
Although I have never seen one picture with them in action they where in use, as is this evidence.
Thanks,

Wim
