Mini Subs

#1

Post by jopaerya » 01 Dec 2010, 18:51

Hello

Not really a Fortifications & Artillery thing , but I allways see them as forward Atlantikwall defence .
A production hall of German mini subs like the Seehund placed central and Molch in the background .

Photo = Ebay.Usa

Andrew, Jägermeister will help! But you were close..

In the book from Klaus Mattes, the same photo is shown, with the caption that it is made in Bunker Konrad, at the Deutsche Werke Kiel.

Kind regards,

Maurice

looking at the waterlevel in the dock, is seems there is about a meter water on the floor?
looking at the front of the ''hellingwagen'' ( dutch name for lorry on wich the subs are driven in and out of the water).

or is this a drydock used only for newbuilding..
then it could be they are filling the dock to sail the subs out on their own power?

maybe they have just trouble with a hightide...
