perhaps for passing large objects later or installing doors but as Arthur mentioned
i ll never seen a door installed like that so Arthur I ll guess you are right
My ideas:

1) The walls are intact so removal after the war, when done, was done very precise.
2) The re-bar is still intact. taking in consideration the steel beam thickness, you don't win much height by removal. 5-10cm I guess. This could be enough off coarse to remove stuff but sound not logical to me.

I go for Dirk's idea: unfinished. Steel beams where getting harder to get, or not in time.
Thanks,

Wim

Yes, Jos, please... seems to be a cool bunker to reproduce in 3D (GoogleSketchUp)
If you also have a similar plan with heightdimensions... it would be great

The BRV drawing from the V 143 in Kijkduin is a exact copy of the original drawing ,
but I see on your drawing many differences ,it could be a Monday morning drawing

Hi Jos,
This was just a copy of the typenheft drawing.
They did that more often, just like the V149 :?

Hello,

my first see-through views of the V143 at Wijk (Holland) based on the plans provided by Jos. (For some heightmeasurements, mostly the pilars, I had to fall back on the known measurements for a French V143).

More views and section will follow... as I produce them.

Hi all,
It's been a while, bit coming sunday it is bunkerdag in Holland!
For 6 euro's you can buy a passepartout tot visit dozens of bunkers in the Netherlands, alot of them normally closed for public!
For the hague we have a few nice ones:
Regelbau 616 hidden under a parking lot, dug open for the first and only time to the public.

And atlantikwall museum opens up the VF mammutbunker at Moritz!
Actually only the part with the phasenschieber still inside will be accessible, the machineraum is to firmly closed.

More info at www.bunkerdag.nl , www.atlantikwallmuseum.nl
See you there!
Gr, Tim.

upright the location of the foundation..
As time goes by..
Erosion had brought the foundation of ERIKA II to the surface.. there should have been a FuMo 5 located here looks like a hexagonal platform built in formstein, with concrete slab in the center ..
