Excavation of a Regelbau 132b SK

#1

Post by Projekt-Westwall » 02 May 2011, 21:29

Hi Guys,

Last weekend we excavate a buried Westwall Regelbau 132b SK at Dillingen.

It was heavy damaged by the fights in winter 1944- american pioneers had blown out most of the doors and the Dreischartenturm. We found many interesting things of german and american equipment which told us the story of the heavy battle there.

All founds were listed on saved for the Denkmalamt.

BRegards
Markus

Hi Guys,

the project was to discover the right Regelbautyp and get a plan with data.
All this data we recieved is needed for starting protection from the Denkmalamt

The bunker was closed and covered after this- but after showing the pictures online (in 3 forums) we had some
illegal diggers there...

Now we have big trouble with the owner of the ground and bunker.

Sorry, but I must delete all photos now.

That was sad news.
Does it exist photos of this bunker from pre-/wartime so we can se how the area looked like?

Hi C. Hoff,

Hi Jos,

No problem,

The R 132 was build with a blind regular Entrance (which was prepared to be a Hohlganganschluß later) and new Entrance with stairs on the position of the emergency exit in the plan.
With 2 other R 114b SK and one R 108b SK this bunker is protecting a bridge over the river Saar- all this bunkers should
be connected with a Hohlgang but that was never build.

Hi Markus

Thank you very much for sharing all of this interesting information as well as photos. I'm very sad to here about the outcome of your dig. Despite this incident, I really hope that you guys will continue the great job you are doing, and keep in lighting the rest of us with information about this interesting part of the Westwall in the future.
A nice weekend to you and everyone on AHF.

Brgds Tønnes
