Here is (I think) a picture of a 5,7 cm Pak 208(r) (ex-57 mm M1943 - ZIS-2) in a German convoy.
(from ebay.de)

I haven't seen many pictures of this gun in German use so far.

Hello Emmanuel

Special picture , for me also the first time I see a photo of this gun in German service .
On the list from H.Gr.B. (14-03-1944 ) no 5.7 cm PaK 208(r) guns on the Western front .

Regards Jos

Emmanuel, That doesn't have a long enough barrel top be the 57mm atg and the obvious muzzlebrake under the cover makes it seem to me to be a 76.2mm Zis-3 (Feldkanone 288(r)).

Hi Alan

That option I have overlooked , but that is a good possiblilty .
The gun shield fits also beter with the 7.62 cm F.K. 288 (r) .

Alan,

I think you're right. I misjudge the length of the tube and there could be indeed a muzzle brake under the cover.

Thanks.

Hello!

The barrel seems to be too short for ZiS-2
To compare with:

I know that for a too short :)

...but if it is too thin as 76,2 mm - maybe an optical illusion :?

According to a German document the Reserve-Grenadier-Battaillon 333 (160. Div.) had two "5 cm [Pak] (r.)" in January 1945, possibly emplaced in bunkers of type 680. Is it known if the 5,7 cm Pak 208 (r) was present in Denmark?
