Could this be prefab Tobruks ?
Far away from any road , in the middle of nowhere on the beach where the dunes moved backwards
they are placed every 100 meters i believe
i dont looked at them at the time

Hello Dirk

The socalled Kochbunker has in most of the times a opening in the pipe ,
also it was build late in the war end 1944/1945 so Equihen is not a option .

For Denmark we know there were some Waffen Pruf Fest testing site's were new
bunkertype's were tested , so this could be a option .

Hello Dirk

Do you have a specific location of this alleged prefabricated Tobruk at Blåvandshuk? I have been there quite a lot during the past 15 years, and never found anything like this, that gave me the idea of a prefabricated Tobruk. However in the HKB you can find many "draintanks/tubes outside the St-bunkers that looks suspiciously like the one from Mr Poweleit
with the same dimensions.

The only thing that comes into mind, relating to Denmark, when talking about these prefabricated Tobruks are the Koch-Stände and Friesertonden build along the Danish/German border in the winter/spring of 45. And even here it looks like most of them are poured at the site.

Just some thoughts.

Hi there,
here in holland we have alot of deckungslocher that look the same as the ones above.
the 'kochstande' and above drawings have a cornered top to put the roof on. maybe that's a good way to i.d. them.

Hello All

Thanks to David Penlaé some picture's of a prefab tobruk on Belle-Ile , strange place to find such a tobruk
but maybe because Belle-Ile was a part of Festung Lorient and was liberated in 1945 some building plans
reached the Festung ??

Dirk,

When you come in Le Havre, we visited a strongpoint at La Belle Aurore (Harfleur/Gonfreville l'Orcher). One of the Ringstand here (the one we I-trager on roof) is made with precast concrete parts. It's half-circular parts (look like the first picture).

You should have picture of it.

Regards from Le Havre

Sébastien
